Media Campaign against COVID 19: Coronavirus is affecting entire world including developed countries. The spread of the virus, however, has affected the lives of the people of the world are affected and everyone is worried about the crisis. We are also experiencing the effect of this pandemic in Nepali society too. And the situation is getting worst day by day. Coronavirus doesn’t recognize rich or poor and so-called high or low casts. Nevertheless, it is affecting daily wage makers, Dalit, and marginalized communities than wealthy people. Due to this virus, Nepali society will certainly have both short and long-term effects in social, economic and development sectors and gap of inequality and discrimination will be even widened further. It is necessary to strengthen the social and economic condition of those marginalized communities and groups without further delay. Consequently, real victim of the pandemic will be benefited from plans and programs introduced by the government and other likeminded stakeholders. Thus, those communities should be well informed by providing all right information’s and message related to COVID-19 and other programs.

The aim media campaign against COVID-19 portal is to educate and inform the right holders focusing on long and short term impact of COVID-19 and make accountable concern authorities for addressing the impact. Moreover it helps to bridge the gap between the government and Dalit and marginalized communities by sharing the problems and need of those communities to concern authorities. It aims to protect and promote equality, justice, and human rights of those people.

Jagaran online: Jagaran Media Center has also started its online from 2017 to mainstream Dalit issues. It is a complete media hub where Dalit related local, regional, and national NEWS are documented and disseminated within likeminded organizations. Moreover, JMC online visitor can get all the Dalit related news, radio programs, television programs, PSA/Jingle, researches and publication, reports, online Radio jagaran, view and opinion, documentaries, success stories, and other Dalit related information. The NEWS in the online are both in English and Nepali.

Dalit Human Right portal: The Dalit Human Rights Portal (DHR-PORTAL) is an online platform established for advancing the works on eliminating caste-based discrimination and untouchability (CBD&U). This is a system designed to keep government officials, police officials, local organizations, activists, journalists and common people alert to incidents of violence and human rights violations committed against Dalit. This also allows local, national, and international organizations to report issues of rights violations. It also supports concerned law enforcing agencies to hold rule violators accountable and provide justice to the victims of cast-based discrimination. www.dalithumanrights.org.np.

Parliamentarian portal: JMC has developed a portal incorporating all the information of parliamentary affairs—including constitution, laws, policies, administrative decisions, and international provisions of the law making on behalf of disadvantaged communities. Additionally, the portal also works as a repository for the information of every Dalit MPs of Nepal. Every Dalit leaders, MPs— both former and current, will be documented in the portal. Furthermore, the portal also sends SMS to the 58 MPs on some of the important and urgent matters, such as information on law drafting and cases of violation of rights against Dalit communities.
